Day of Silence

Thousands of people across the world are supporting the silent voices of those in the LGBTQ+ community. Some SBP staff members and Students remained silent to stand against the violence brought to those who identify under this community.

According to GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network) “Nearly 4 in 5 LGBTQ students don’t see positive LGBTQ representation in their curriculum, nearly 8 in 10 experience verbal harassment”

As a result of this statistic it's up to school leaders to highlight the silencing that LGBTQ+ students and people around the world experience.

Here at SBP we are taking a stand and are saying no more to remaining excluded or harassed. #DayofSilence #OurWordsMatter #LGBTQ+Community
